The Hallier firm is an architectural practice founded by Georges Hallier (1897-1972), architect for the town and hospices of Bayeux. Located on rue de la maîtrise in Bayeux, it was active between 1924 and 1971. Gilbert Hallier (1923-2010), son of Georges Hallier, also worked at the firm. He was a government-qualified architect and town planner (DPLG) in 1945, and graduated from the School of Architecture in 1950. In the course of his career, he held a number of prestigious positions: architect for Bâtiments de France, architect and town planner in Bayeux (1945-1953), Inspector of Historic Monuments in Morocco (1953-1959) and Director of Research at the CNRS.
Oak wood frame featuring two drawers and a white painted wooden top. In very good solid condition with small marks to the table top (see photos).
