This super vented type simplus 1950's Handrill and Horstmann really is the "Rolls Royce" of lamps.
The flex has been replaced as has the old faulty bulb holder. The new (antique type brass bulb fiting) incorporates modern day saftey features i.e once the bulb is removed power to the bulb holder cannot be activated just a few minor age related dings and scuffs which simply adds to the patina.
