A French Modernist desk lamp dating from the 1930s, in the manner of Jacques Adnet. The lamp has a striking architectural form, with a rectangular shade supported by two slender uprights above a stepped base. Its adjustable design allows the position of the light to be altered as required.
The lamp has been professionally rewired and is in good working order. There is some scratching and surface wear to the metal as well as a slight lean, as shown in the photographs.
