An early 19th century Regency wood simulating bamboo armchair.
Featuring a rarely seen arched design on the back reminiscent of Gothic designs.
A rare survivor, the chair is in good solid condition with no movement to the joints. There is a small hole on the front leg (see photo) which is an old repair and the back stretcher is missing and has been replaced by rope. Again this is an old repair which appears to have been done some years ago.
